Eating Disorder Treatment Centers

Want to know why you are doing what you are doing with food?
Tired of hating your body?
Do you want to break free from the struggle?
After over 35 years, I continue to be passionate about working with women from around the world who are seeking freedom from struggles with eating and body image.
I have seen thousands of women fully and completely recover. I know it is totally possible and I feel so fortunate to have a front row seat — where I get to see them step into a life beyond their wildest dreams. So if you are someone who wants to learn how break free from negative body image and transform your relationship with food…
Come work with me.
I am the Clinical Director of Ai Pono Hawaii Eating Disorder Programs which I founded in 2001.
Ai meaning “to eat, nourish” and Pono meaning “with ease, naturally, in perfect order and wholeness.”
At the ‘Ai Pono Eating Disorder Program, we recognize that eating disorders are complex problems with psychological, emotional, nutritional, and biochemical components, but we do not view women who struggle with these problems as irreparably damaged. Rather, we see them as highly intuitive, sensitive beings who have developed an obsession with food, fat, and dieting as a way of coping with social and psychological stress..

Offering residential treatment, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) on the islands of Maui, Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii.
Residential:
We have a small eight bed, ocean front, residential eating disorder treatment program on the beautiful island of Maui which which uses my approach along with other evidence based treatment approaches and includes a trauma track and neuro-feedback. We accept most insurance and have a dedicated staff that can help you find out is this is the right place for you to heal from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, or binge eating disorder.
Outpatient:
I am proud that our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) on the island of Oahu is the very first free standing eating disorder IOP in the country, which I developed based on my approach set forth in Eating in the Light of the Moon over 20 years ago. Evidence-based research on the program demonstrated statistically significant improvement on all scales of the EDI (Eating Disorder Inventory). We have IOP’s on Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii.
I am the Executive Director of Eating Disorder Planning at Integrative Life Center in Nashville,Tennessee.

Integrative Life Center is a dual diagnosis treatment center in Nashville, Tennessee that has residential, PHP, and IOP programming. We provide real world recovery in the heart of Music City, where clients have a voice in their care and a 2:1 client to staff ratio. At the ILC we believe that recovery means creating the life you deserve through healing and transformation.
I can support You anywhere in
the world at:
The Light of the Moon Café
The courses in the Light of the Moon Café are based on my best selling book, Eating in the Light of the Moon.
At the Café, the book chapters come to life with lively audio and video recordings of me telling the stories and metaphors from the book. Plus, there are brand new chapters that have not yet been published! The daily activities of each week focus on the corresponding book chapters and are designed to help you take the material deeper in your understanding of how these concepts play out in your personal life.
The interactive forum is much like an online book club and virtual support circle — where women from around the world gather to discuss the book chapters and share their experiences and reactions. I respond to questions and comments via the forum and live calls.
“There’s a moon inside every human being.
Learn to be companions with it.
Give more of your life to this listening.”
